Dr. Barbara Sorter is a Special Education Administrator with the Riverside County Office of Education, where she has dedicated the past 25 years to supporting youth with disabilities. She holds a doctorate from California Lutheran University with research focused on special education transition services.

Dr. Sorter’s primary work centers on preparing students for life beyond the classroom – building pre-employment skills, self-advocacy, and college and career readiness. She is an active member of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) and the Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE).

In recognition of her outstanding commitment to students with disabilities, Dr. Sorter was named the 2019 ACSA Region 19 Special Education Administrator of the Year.

Dr. Cherina Betters is the inaugural Chief of Equity and Access for San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, a position she has held since 2020. In that role, she represents 33 school districts and more than 400,000 students, leading systemic efforts to close achievement and opportunity gaps throughout the region. She is also an adjunct professor in the Teacher Education & Foundations and Educational Leadership & Technology departments at California State University, San Bernardino, and a trustee on the San Bernardino Community College District Board.

A first-generation college graduate and proud product of the community college system, Dr. Betters has spent more than two decades in K-12 education as a teacher and administrator in Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified and San Jacinto Unified school districts before moving into county-level leadership.

Her contributions to educational equity have earned her recognition including ACSA’s 2024 Exemplary Woman in Education, the 2021 Woman of the Year in California’s 23rd Senate District, and Transformational Change Leader from Cal State San Bernardino. Dr. Betters is a proud parent of six children and one grandchild.

Derrick currently serves as CEO of the AIFD Foundation.
Selected five times among California’s Top Ten Designers by the California Floral Association, Derrick has designed at trade shows across the United States and internationally, and served on the floral design teams for the Presidential Inaugurations of George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. His work has appeared in multiple national publications.

A committed community volunteer, Derrick actively supports Santa Claus Inc., Christmas Tree Lane, the Assistance League of San Bernardino, and Loma Linda Children’s Hospital.

For more than two decades, Jerry has anchored two signature community events: the Inland Empire Pastors Breakfast (23+ years) and the Real Men Stay in the Race Conference (19+ years). He is also an Elder at Water of Life Community Church in Fontana, where he leads the Men’s Ministry and facilitates the Core Values class and the 5:30 a.m. Tuesday Morning Men’s Bible Study.

Jerry leads guided by four personal pillars: Lead Courageously, Accept Responsibility, Reject Passivity, and Invest in the Lives of Others. He and Dr. Huff-Musgrove are the proud parents of two daughters and grandparents of three.

Linda’s diverse background – shaped by a multicultural upbringing that valued education, music, and community – has fueled a lifelong commitment to service. She has participated in food packaging, coat distributions, and outreach programs throughout her career, believing deeply that volunteering is one of the most meaningful gifts a person can give.

Linda’s connection to Santa Claus Inc. inspired her to extend her community impact even further, including launching her own school supply collection drive in her neighborhood. She brings both practical know-how and genuine passion for service to everything she does.

Ms. Inbody earned her bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and administrative services credential from California State University, San Bernardino. Under her leadership, Fontana Unified has developed one of the region’s most comprehensive Career Technical Education programs, offering 59 industry-aligned pathways spanning aviation, construction, health science, arts, and business – empowering students to graduate workforce-ready.

Named a 2024 “Superintendent to Watch” for her innovative leadership, Ms. Inbody is actively involved in ACSA, CALSA, CAAPLE, and ASCD. She is a deeply rooted community servant whose work reflects an unwavering belief in the potential of every student.

Dr. Rodriguez rose through the ranks of SBCUSD from instructional tutor to resource specialist teacher, vice principal, principal of San Bernardino High School, and Employee Relations Director before reaching her current cabinet-level role. She now oversees programs focused on family engagement, student support, and culturally responsive learning environments for the district’s 46,000 students.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from California Baptist University, two master’s degrees in Special Education and School Administration, and a doctorate from Azusa Pacific University (2020). A former ACSA Region 12 President and CSUSB adjunct professor, Dr. Rodriguez received the 2023 Distinguished Service Award from the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools.

Don DiCarlo is a lifelong entrepreneur whose diverse career spans professional sports management, hospitality, and community service. He earned a B.S. in Political Science with a minor in Economics from UC Riverside, before channeling his competitive spirit into baseball – serving as President of both the Palm Springs Suns and Oxnard Pacific Suns, AA Professional Baseball teams, throughout the 1990s.

In 1999, Don and his wife Karen purchased Golden Bear Cottages, a year-round resort in Big Bear Lake, expanding their portfolio into the hospitality industry. He is also the founder and CEO of the Big Bear Lake Marketing Association.

A loyal volunteer at Santa Claus Inc. for more than 25 years, Don has served on the Board of Directors for 15 years and currently holds the dual role of Treasurer and Director of Operations. His business acumen and hands-on operational knowledge are invaluable assets to the organization’s continued growth.
